On Battlestar Galactica, Grace plays Cylon model #8. There are two prominent Eights- Sharon "Boomer" Valerii and Lt. Sharon "Athena" Agathon.

Many Number Eight copies have been seen in various Cylon-occupied areas and in leadership positions; two are featured as central characters. A multitude of Eights are found aboard the Basestar orbiting Kobol that Sharon Valerii destroys. Another Eight is shown as a Cylon leader when both main character Eights are elsewhere.

- A rebel Eight revealed that she accessed Athena's memories, specifically those of Athena, Hera, and Helo. She displayed leadership abilities and an affection for Helo that turned into feelings of betrayal.

-Multiple Eights flew as pilots in the joint Cylon-Colonial assault on the Resurrection Hub.

-Many Eights were seen excavating on Earth.

-Many Eights helped with the repairs of Galactica.

-An Eight piloted the Raptor that President Roslin escaped in from Galactica.

-An Eight performing repairs on the ship was attacked by Galen Tyrol and switched with Boomer.

-Eights, along with Sixes, were flying CAP.

-A dying Eight, aboard the Galactica, requested to meet Tigh before she died. She saw him as her father.
