Grace Park’s family emigrated from South Korea to North America, first living in the United States (Los Angeles, California) for the first 22 months of Grace’s life, before settling in Vancouver, Canada. Eventually, another daughter was born into the family. Grace was raised speaking English and Korean, though she says her Korean isn’t strong.

Grace attended the University of British Columbia where she earned her degree in Psychology. For one summer she also attended Yonsei University, the oldest private university in Korea. To help pay for her college expense, Grace did commercials and modeled. After graduation, Grace decided to pursue acting for one year and quickly landed roles.

In 2004, after dating for 3 years, Grace and a Korean-Canadian real estate developer named Phil married in Mexico. Grace’s Battlestar Galactica cast mates attended the ceremony.

Recently, Grace revealed that she would like to start a family, as well as establish a foundation that builds orphanages.
