For decades, people who raised chickens took advantage of chicken coops. These coops served as the chickens’ homes. Just like humans, chickens need a home where they can eat and sleep, like in a chicken coop. But due to the first chicken coop design, a lot of problems were detected. First, the traditional coops don’t provide enough ventilation to the chickens. This can put the chickens’ health in jeopardy. Secondly, old chicken coops only have one floor. Therefore, cleanliness cannot be attained.

Due to the numerous problems seen, these chicken coops have to be modified with a design that can safeguard the chickens. Fortunately, chicken coops slowly evolved. One proof of its evolution is the decrease in size. If the coops before are too huge to be moved, the new chicken coops are already portable, hence, moving them to another location is not a problem.

In terms of hygiene, the modern chicken coops have more than one story. The bottom part is usually where chickens can drop their feces. The upper stories are where the chickens eat and sleep as well.

Chicken coops never ceased to evolve. With this progress, people raising chickens no longer experience the usual problems. In fact, most of them even find it enjoyable in taking care of the chickens.
